Victoria Reynolds earned her MFA from the Pacific Northwest College of Art in Portland, Oregon. Her work has been shown in solo and group exhibitions, and is in several private collections. A selection of her small paintings were included in Surrender Flag, a group show at Ampersand in summer 2014 and she will have a solo exhibition at the gallery in early 2016. She currently lives and works in Thomasville, GA.
Reynold's current work is a foray into documenting the concept of personal/emotional mythologies and how these ultimately translate as abstractions both organic and mathematic. She has long been interested in space, allusion and illusion, as well as color, but as her works progress she finds that each embodies a period of intensely static, analytic thought process that manifests itself in instinctual connections of color and form.
